VOLUNTEER
Volunteers play a big part in daily life at Destiny Haven. Whether it’s prepping meals, weeding the garden or folding laundry, every task makes space for healing to happen.
We’re always looking for people who are reliable, down-to-earth and happy to pitch in behind the scenes.
You don’t need special qualifications, just a willingness to help where it’s needed most.
Cooking & kitchen prep
Gardening & outdoor maintenance
General repairs & handy work
Admin & office support
Sewing, ironing, chocolate making and packing (social enterprise)
Cleaning & Luxury Retreat upkeep
Use of any specialised skills (e.g. trades, IT, photography)
WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Most roles involve limited or no direct contact with residents
You’ll need current Working With Children and Police checks
Some tasks may require physical fitness

“Whatever I give through my volunteer work here at Destiny Haven, I get back tenfold.
When I first came to Destiny Haven, I was in a big black hole I couldn’t climb out of. Little by little, I did. I didn’t realise that three months later I would fall back in, this time because of the death of my son. But the difference was, I had family and love surrounding me, hands pulling me up with their faith.
Every time I walk through these doors, I’m so grateful to be accepted just as I am. This is a community of healing and self-help, and it rubs off on you..”
